Progressives rely on the ability of people to ignore what has actually occurred so that they can promote Progressivism as progress.  It’s a movement of controlling the individual for the benefit of the few. It’s destruction discriminates against no party, race, or religion.  It seeks a utopia that is never based on Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness through limited government. It violates every unalienable right given to every human being on this planet by our Creator.

This is not up for debate. It has been proven over and over again.

We were told that we need the government to step in and provide health care for all Americans when ObamaCare was proposed.  Indeed we were told by the Speaker of the House:

• We have proof in our own country: RomneyCare (As I said, Progressivism does not discriminate between parties.)
• The architect of the Canadian Single Payer System admits it is a failure.
• Britain’s NHS is a complete failure.
• Medicare is bankrupt with $76 Trillion in unfunded liabilities. That’s 6 times the total GDP of the U.S.

Progressives make it a point to claim that they are for the children and that their collective salvation for our youth in this country is education.  In reality, Progressives are concerned with ideology and not education:

• It takes a village.
• The irrefutable case for the abolishment of the Department of Education.
• Head Start is an Epic Fail.

Progressives believe that spending more than you ever take in works. Note to Progressivism: Keynesian Economics fails every time.

• Japan’s gross debt-to-GDP ratio is second only to Zimbabwe, at almost 200 percent.
• Regardless of party affiliation Congress has always increased spending.
• Robbing Jimmy to pay John is not called a surplus.
• California, thy path is bankruptcy.
• The True Origins of This Financial Crisis.

The proven examples of the failure of Progressivism are abundant beyond this post. Progressivism is the destructive cancer that it has always been around the world.  The ‘hope’ of Progressivism is clothed in the willful ignorance of what actually has occurred.  I have no room for the destruction that Progressivism wreaks. I seek it’s eradication across the world. To do anything different would be to deny my children and future generations the freedom that is already theirs. As an American, it is my duty to do so.

Progressives may choose to live in America but they have zero rights to destroy this great country as they have been doing for decades within both parties. Americans have been apathetic and allowed this cancer to fester and grow and have no one to blame but themselves.

The last time I checked, America was not founded on social justice or redistribution of wealth. It was not founded based on race, religion, or any other divisive label.  It was founded on the unalienable rights that Nature’s God and Nature’s Laws have given us.

America was founded on the basis that all were created equal.  That is all human beings have the equal individual opportunity to pursue Life, Liberty and Happiness through limited government.  That is the foundation of freedom. Progressivism and it’s followers seek to destroy it willfully.

Still don’t think you have a personal responsibility for the current state of America? Allow me:

• U.S. Debt – $13 Trillion, Debt per citizen – $42,000
• U.S. Unfunded Liabilities – $109 Trillion, Liability per citizen $353,000
• Gross Debt to GDP ratio – 91.1%

Now who controls the purse strings of the Government? Congress. So who voted the members of Congress in? You. As I said, this is not opinion, this is fact. It’s on you Americans and no one else.

Before we move on let’s make this abundantly clear – There is no hyphen in America. America is called the melting pot of the world for a reason. When you put things in a melting pot they assimilate and come together. So you’re American. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Now let’s look at what you let in to bring our great country to it’s current state:

Progressivism. Let me be perfectly clear. Progressivism is party agnostic. It doesn’t matter what party you’re from or what color your skin is or what religion you are.

Progressivism is the most parasitic destructive man made force on the face of this planet.  It and it’s proponents will do anything to ensure that this cancer grows at the maximum rate. It’s insidious as it grows and feeds on it’s hosts without fanfare. It goes against everything in our great Constitution and violates every unalienable right granted to us by our Creator.  This is not my opinion, it is fact:

• Social Security, Medicare, & Medicaid are bankrupt. (See U.S. Unfunded liabilities above)
• Since the $800+ Billion Stimulus package was passed 3 million people have lost their jobs. 8 million total since this recession started.
• RomneyCare in Massachusetts is a complete failure.
• California and Illinois are bankrupt.
• Spending more than you ever take in has never worked. Debt to GDP for: Japan – 202%, Greece – 124%, Italy – 120%, U.S. – 91% and Germany – 80%.

I could go on as Progressivism has infected every city, state, municipality, province, region, and country in the world but you get the picture.

Now, stop reading for a moment and physically go look at your children and/or grandchildren. You are looking at the future generations of America who literally have no future because of your actions. Think about that for a moment:

You have screwed your very own flesh and blood out of a future that they deserve through your personal inaction and irresponsibility.

This is not my opinion, this is cold, hard, in-your-face, facts.

The time for all Americans to come together is now. It’s time for each one of us to rise up and actively engage in ensuring that this country is restored. Our political class in D.C. are nothing more than a bunch of self serving, arrogant, imbeciles who couldn’t govern their way out of a toilet.

There’s a very simple test in finding out if your representative or senator or candidate is the right person to carry out the instructions of the Constitution. You merely have to ask two questions and they both require answering yes or no:

• Are you for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness through limited government?
• Will you faithfully execute your duties according to the original intent of the Constitution?

That’s it. Simple yes or no answers. If your Congressmen/women or candidate can’t answer those questions then you know not to vote for them. If they stutter or start giving long answers it’s a no vote.  Regardless of party. It’s a no brainer.

Now, to all the Progressives out there:

I’m not debating this with you. I don’t need to. Your actions scream so loud I can’t hear the lies and bullshit that you spread.  The game is up for you. You, who call yourself “Progressives”, are no longer needed in this country or anywhere in the world for that matter. Is that harsh? No, because you’re out to destroy America. You will fail just like you’ve always failed every single time. This is not my opinion. It is a matter of fact.

Citizens of America this is your country, haven’t you had enough of Progressivism or will you let it infect your children and host on them for their entire lives?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all this in 15 months — so you’ll have two years and nine months to come up with an answer.

There’s been a lot written already about Elena Kagan’s nomination to SCOTUS.  People have been talking about how she’s never been a judge before or how there is limited evidence of her views and how she would rule.

I’m here to tell you that Ms. Kagan has already disqualified herself with one statement. There is no need for anyone to do any more searching or pour over documents or try to dig up dirt.

This comes directly from a post on the site Kagan Watch and the bold emphasis is from the author and not me.

In a questioner from Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) about gun rights during her confirmation to be Solicitor General, Kagan had this to say:

“Once again, there is no question, after Heller, that the Second Amendment guarantees individuals the right to keep and bear arms and that this right, like others in the Constitution, provides strong although not unlimited protection against governmental regulation.”

Did you catch that? No not the blatant disregard for the Second Amendment. It’s not the effort Ms. Kagan puts into trying to rewrite the Second Amendment either.

Have you found it yet? It’s only two words.  Give up?

Ms Kagan reveals that case law would be the basis for any decisions she makes as a Justice of SCOTUS, not the Constitution as it was written and originally intended.

Just so there’s no confusion. Let’s look at Federalist Paper No. 78:

“There is no position which depends on clearer principles, than that every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid.

If it be said that the legislative body are themselves the constitutional judges of their own powers, and that the construction they put upon them is conclusive upon the other departments, it may be answered, that this cannot be the natural presumption, where it is not to be collected from any particular provisions in the Constitution. It is not otherwise to be supposed, that the Constitution could intend to enable the representatives of the people to substitute their will to that of their constituents. It is far more rational to suppose, that the courts were designed to be an intermediate body between the people and the legislature, in order, among other things, to keep the latter within the limits assigned to their authority. The interpretation of the laws is the proper and peculiar province of the courts. A constitution is, in fact, and must be regarded by the judges, as a fundamental law. It only supposes that the power of the people is superior to both; and that where the will of the legislature, declared in its statutes, stands in opposition to that of the people, declared in the Constitution, the judges ought to be governed by the latter rather than the former. They ought to regulate their decisions by the fundamental laws, rather than by those which are not fundamental.”

In other words, the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land, not case law.

Based on Ms. Kagan’s own words, she has disqualified herself from ever serving the citizens of this great country as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

I’ve been having a “conversation” with a couple of people on Twitter in regards to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and felt that it needed more than just a couple of tweets about it.

It all started with Bill Maher’s tweet above. Now I know that Bill Maher is allegedly an entertainer, at least he tries desperately to play one on TV. The problem with this tweet is it’s ignorant and unfortunately many people retweeted as a valid response to drilling here.

Every single person in the U.S. uses petroleum every single day. Obviously we use it in our cars everyday. Now stop what your doing and look around you. Notice every thing that is plastic or has plastic in it. It’s petroleum based.  Petroleum is so ingrained in every single person’s life on this planet that they cannot live without it. So let’s acknowledge reality – petroleum is a part of our lives whether we like it or not. So if you’re a person on this planet who uses petroleum and you didn’t chant “Drill Baby Drill” you too should report to the Gulf Coast for cleanup duty.

Manu Kumar, whom I’ve never met personally but I have high respect for what he’s done both as entrepreneur and a venture capitalist, tweeted the following:

I believe that we are overlooking the fact that had we, as a country, adopted a solid comprehensive energy plan for America oh starting 40 years ago then we would not be where we are at today.

Alternative energies is the buzzword of the day and the last time I checked we aren’t running planes, trains, and automobiles on wind or solar and we won’t be for a very long time to come. If ever. You need sun and wind 24/7/365 days across the globe to make that happen.  I don’t believe that wind or solar makes plastic either.  Alternative energies need to be researched for viability, both short and long term, first. No one should pile on the “environmental” band wagon for the sake of saying your concerned about Earth when in reality it’s a political agenda. If you want to get a picture of just how green the manufacture and operation of a hybrid car is please consider this eye-opener.

Think about where America would be now if we had been building nuclear power plants for the past 30-40 years. It is the cleanest form of mass distributable energy out there.  We would be less dependent on foreign produced oil today in a big way if we had started building nuclear plants decades ago. To the people who want to start talking about the possible dangers of nuclear energy and the storage of spent nuclear fuel – go talk to France.

Now let’s look at oil. Let’s start with who we import oil from. More oil is imported into the U.S. from non-OPEC countries than OPEC countries.  You can see this information from the U.S. Energy Information Administration here.

We know that OPEC sets the price of oil pretty much for the world.  If OPEC announces that they are increasing the production capacity of it’s oil then oil prices will drop. We also know that competition brings about a reduction in prices as well.

Keeping that in mind, I want you to carefully consider the following:

The U.S. has a 1.5 Trillion Barrel oil shale reserve in Colorado and Wyoming. That is 5 times the reserves of all of Saudi Arabia.

Think about that for a second. What if we announced to the world that the U.S. is opening up drilling both onshore and off in America?  It would have an immediate effect.  The oil futures contracts would plunge dramatically across the world and reduce the price of oil immediately before we even drilled one inch.

“But Pete, extracting oil from shale is costly and damages the environment” you say.  Well, that would have been true a decade ago but there has been some incredible developments in shale oil extraction technology.

Royal Dutch Shell, in fact, has recently completed a demonstration project (The Mahogany Ridge project) in which it produced 1,400 barrels of oil from shale in the ground, without mining the shale at all. DailyReckoning.com

The article further shows that for every unit of energy used to extract the oil from the shale, 3-4 units of energy are produced. It would also bring the price per barrel of oil in at around $40. Once the process is started it takes about 3-4 years for it to reach mass production.

Think about this for a minute:

• We would no longer be even remotely dependent on foreign oil.
• The price of oil would drop dramatically.
• America would reap enormous revenues exporting our oil to other countries.
• A portion of that revenue, which is larger than any high gas tax ever will be, can be used for investment in the research & development of alternative energies.
• America would not be “subsidizing” terrorism by purchasing foreign produced oil.

• We need a COMPREHENSIVE energy policy that includes fossil fuels, alternative energies, and sound economics.
• The construction of nuclear power plants across the U.S. needs to be started immediately.
• We need to open up onshore and offshore drilling, extraction, and production in the U.S. immediately. Yes, there will be accidents but no one should use them for any type of political agenda like the Gulf spill is being used now.
• Try this for a week – be aware of every petroleum based product you use or come in contact with.
• Think what your world would be without petroleum – No cars, no computers, no cell phones, the list is endless.

I don’t know about you but I’m tired of looking at my children and knowing that we are not leaving this planet a better place for them.  That goes for the economic, political, and conservation areas.

I encourage everyone to not act like the child Bill Maher is. This is not a joke people.

Last Friday, the SEC announced that charges were being brought against Goldman Sachs for defrauding investors in the structuring and selling of a Collateral Debt Obligation product tied to sub-prime mortgages. The timing was perfect for Obama & Dems and it was the latest ‘crisis’ not to be wasted as Professor William Jacobson so clearly points out on his blog Legal Insurrection. Obama and Democrats are all over this in their quest to continue the delusional proclamation that they are for ‘Main Street’ and Republicans are there to protect ‘Wall Street’.  Republicans say we need reform but not the way the Democrats are proposing in the Dodd bill on finance reform.

Well, I’ve had it with the bullshit coming out of D.C., Wall Street, and the MSM. Not one of these groups wants you to look at the cause? Why? Because if you do they will be revealed for the willfully ignorant partners in crime against Main Street – the American citizens of this great country. You think the Democrats have been the defenders of Main Street? Think again:

1. Detroit , MI hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1961. 32.5%
2. Buffalo , NY hasn’t elected one since 1954. 29.9%
3. Cincinnati , OH …since 1984. 27.8%
4. Cleveland , OH ……since 1989. 27.0%
5. Miami , FL – has never had a Republican mayor. 26.9%
6. St. Louis , MO ….since 1949. 26.8%
7. El Paso , TX – has never had a Republican mayor. 26.4%
8. Milwaukee , WI – ….since 1908. 26.2%
9. Philadelphia , PA – …since 1952. 25.1%
10. Newark , NJ – …..since 1907. 24.2%

What is this list? It’s the top 10 cities in the country with the highest poverty rate in America.

Let’s also put into clear view just how committed the Democrats are to our childrens’ education – “It Takes A Village“. It’s important to learn what the cause was that led to the current financial mess America finds itself. It started decades ago with the Community Reinvestment Act and later, the creation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  There is not a better explanation to date of cause than “The True Origins of this Financial Crisis” by Peter J. Wallison. In the article is this from Stan Liebowitz of the University of Texas at Dallas:

From the current handwringing, you’d think that the banks came up with the idea of looser underwriting standards on their own, with regulators just asleep on the job. In fact, it was the regulators who relaxed these standards–at the behest of community groups and “progressive” political forces.… For years, rising house prices hid the default problems since quick refinances were possible. But now that house prices have stopped rising, we can clearly see the damage done by relaxed loan standards.

Let’s also point out that the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) was also a major contributing factor to this mess. Let’s also put to rest that Republicans weren’t the only ones involved in passing this too: GLBA – Both Democrats and Republicans Legislative history of GLBA Too bad no one listened to William A. Niskanen’s testimony to Congress on March 8th, 1995 in which he stated:

Don’t try to fix the Community Reinvestment Act. It can’t be done. Repeal it.

So Obama and Dems are getting their ‘Blame it on Wall Street’ charade on in full force. Dodd’s financial reform bill leaves out Fannie and Freddie completely. There is nothing about reform in Dodd’s bill. It’s all about control of Main Street not protecting them. Don’t believe me? You merely have to look at Section 926 of the bill which would raise the costs of angel investments in startup ventures. Catch that? People who want to start up businesses will be burdened with additional costs and work that would delay or possibly stop them from starting up a business. That’s just one example of many.

So my rant here isn’t about Democrat or Republican. It’s about the destructive nature of Big Government and Progressivism. I’m tired of the bullshit coming out of DC and the majority of Americans agree – Almost 80% of Americans distrust Congress. Go ahead, pay no attention to cause.

So just what is the Commissioned Corps that is addressed in this section? It’s the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (PHSCC).  I’m going directly to the Wikipedia entry to show you what the mission and purpose of PHSCC is:

The stated mission of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service is “Protecting, promoting, and advancing the health and safety of the Nation”. The agencies and programs Corps officers are assigned to:

• Prevent and control disease, identify health hazards in the environment and help correct them, and promote healthy lifestyles for the nation’s citizens;
• Improve the nation’s mental health;
• Ensure that drugs and medical devices are safe and effective, food is safe and wholesome, cosmetics are harmless, and that electronic products do not expose users to dangerous amounts of radiation;
• Conduct and support biomedical, behavioral, and health services research and communicate research results to health professionals and the public; and
• Work with other nations and international agencies on global health problems and their solutions.

In addition, the Corps provides officers (Medical Officers, Dental Officers, Therapists, Environmental Health Officers, etc.) to other uniformed services, primarily the United States Coast Guard and theNational Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Corps. Corps officers may also be detailed to other federal agencies including the Department of the Defense, TRICARE, Department of Justice (BOP), State Department, and Department of Homeland Security.

So we now have the cap lifted on the number of people in the Commissioned Corps.  Just what occupations are included in the Government Run PHSCC? Sit down for this one folks:

physicians, dentists, pharmacists, dietitians, engineers, scientists, environmental health officers, therapists (including physical, occupational, speech, audiology), health services (including social workers,physician assistants, optometrists, statisticians, computer scientists, dental hygienists, medical records administrators, medical technologists and others), veterinarians, and nurses. Chiropractors are not presently included but their inclusion is under discussion.

Surprise! We have the beginnings of a Government Run, Government Controlled Health Care System. The cap is now lifted and Obama & Progressives can now add however many they need to fill the Commissioned Officers Corps.

So how do they ensure that they have an on demand supply of needed people to call upon whenever they need them and as they build their Universal Health Care System? You simply “Establish a Ready Reserve Corps”:

SEC. 5210. ESTABLISHING A READY RESERVE CORPS.

Section 203 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 204) is amended to read as follows:

‘‘SEC. 203. COMMISSIONED CORPS AND READY RESERVE CORPS.

‘‘(a) ESTABLISHMENT.—

‘‘(1) IN GENERAL.—There shall be in the Service a commissioned Regular Corps and a Ready Reserve

Corps for service in time of national emergency.

‘(2) REQUIREMENT.—All commissioned officers shall be citizens of the United States and shall be appointed without regard to the civil-service laws and compensated without regard to the Classification Act of 1923, as amended.

‘‘(3) APPOINTMENT.—Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall be appointed by the President and commissioned officers of the Regular Corps shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate.

‘‘(4) ACTIVE DUTY.—Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall at all times be subject to call to active duty by the Surgeon General, including active duty for the purpose of training.

‘‘(5) WARRANT OFFICERS.—Warrant officers may be appointed to the Service for the purpose of providing support to the health and delivery systems maintained by the Service and any warrant officer appointed to the Service shall be considered for purposes of this Act and title 37, United States Code, to be a commissioned officer within the Commissioned Corps of the Service.

(b) ASSIMILATING RESERVE CORP OFFICERS INTO THE REGULAR CORPS.—Effective on the date of enactment

of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, all individuals classified as officers in the Reserve Corps under this

section (as such section existed on the day before the date of enactment of such Act) and serving on active duty shall be deemed to be commissioned officers of the Regular Corps.

‘‘(c) PURPOSE AND USE OF READY RESEARCH.—

‘‘(1) PURPOSE.—The purpose of the Ready Reserve Corps is to fulfill the need to have additional Commissioned Corps personnel available on short notice (similar to the uniformed service’s reserve program) to assist regular Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency response missions.

‘‘(2) USES.—The Ready Reserve Corps shall—

‘‘(A) participate in routine training to meet the general and specific needs of the Commissioned Corps;

‘‘(B) be available and ready for involuntary calls to active duty during national emergencies and public health crises, similar to the uniformed service reserve personnel;

‘‘(C) be available for backfilling critical positions left vacant during deployment of active duty Commissioned Corps members, as well as for deployment to respond to public health emergencies, both foreign and domestic; and

‘‘(D) be available for service assignment in isolated, hardship, and medically underserved communities (as defined in section 799B) to improve access to health services.

‘‘(d) FUNDING.—For the purpose of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Commissioned Corps under this section, there are authorized to be appropriated $5,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014 for recruitment and training and $12,500,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014 for the Ready Reserve Corps.’’.

Read Section 5210 again. Done? Ok. So you say “Pete, come on. I mean Obama & Progressives are not forcing people to work in the Commissioned or Reserve Corps.  It’s not like it’s a mandatory draft.”

So you realize that the Student Loarn Program (Sallie Mae) has been taken over completely by Obama & Progressives right? Their are no more private sources for student loans. None. Well except for one Bank in North Dakota that was a bribe for Senator Conrad. But I digress.

So you’re looking to get into the medical field huh? Well don’t worry the Government is here to run that for you. In fact you can read all about it in Subtitle D—Enhancing Health Care Workforce Education and Training pages 1315 to 1385 in the PPACA

In those 70 pages you will find the Government training programs for the Government Run Healthcare System that Obama and his Socialist Progressives have just enacted.

You’ll also find that once you decide to pursue the many medical “Tracks” that Obama has set up for you and will fund for you through the Government Run Student Loan Program that each person is obligated ( that means MANDATORY for you Progressives) to provide the government with there services.

In other words all medical professionals & workers will be part of the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (PHSCC) and then when the required obligatory service is completed each medical personnel will be automatically assigned to the Public Health Service Ready Reserve Corps (PHSCC).  Isn’t that cool folks?!

Now of course with Government Run Health Care you’re going to have a huge cadre of Federal Government Employees.  Those employees are going to need a union and other services to make sure they’re taken care of. So what about the claims by Dems that windows were broken by those nasty Tea Partiers and the hateful Conservatives? It’s true that windows were broken and vandalism was done, however, there is NO FACTUAL EVIDENCE of who exactly did it.

Yesterday, Kevin Jackson schooled David Shuster on MSNBC about the Left’s use of Alinsky style tactics which you can watch here. Shuster brought up the vandalism of Democrat offices in which glass was broken to which Mr. Jackson responded by asking Shuster if he had proof of who actually did it. Shuster did not.

Mr. Jackson had the unmitigated gall to suggest that Democrat operatives could have been responsible. Mr Shuster was incredulous at even the consideration of such a scenario. Well Mr. Shuster, there’s proof that’s exactly what could’ve have happened. That proof is named Maurice Schwenkler

In the interview it’s also important to point out Mr. Jackson’s correct statement – I haven’t seen the Republican Party lynch a black man but I do know the Democrat party HAS lynched black men.
