Last night, I started to watch the President deliver his first State of The Union address. Then a half hour into his 1 hour and fifteen minute address, I decided I wasn’t going to sit and watch it anymore. What I am going to do is go through Obama’s SOTU and take him apart piece by piece by piece. He deserves to be ruthlessly annihilated by his own words. Why? Because this President & his Progressive, Statist Party are ruthlessly annihilating this the great people of this great United States of America.

So let’s get started:

Madam Speaker, Vice President Biden, members of Congress, distinguished guests, and fellow Americans:

Our Constitution declares that from time to time, the President shall give to Congress information about the state of our union.  For 220 years, our leaders have fulfilled this duty. They’ve done so during periods of prosperity and tranquility.  And they’ve done so in the midst of war and depression; at moments of great strife and great struggle.

It’s tempting to look back on these moments and assume that our progress was inevitable -– that America was always destined to succeed.  But when the Union was turned back at Bull Run, and the Allies first landed at Omaha Beach, victory was very much in doubt.  When the market crashed on Black Tuesday, and civil rights marchers were beaten on Bloody Sunday, the future was anything but certain.  These were the times that tested the courage of our convictions, and the strength of our union.  And despite all our divisions and disagreements, our hesitations and our fears, America prevailed because we chose to move forward as one nation, as one people.

Again, we are tested.  And again, we must answer history’s call.

What Obama doesn’t understand is that every one of the events in history he mentioned resulted in Americans believing that progress was inevitable. Americans have always believed, and to this day believe, America is destined to succeed. The sheer arrogant ignorance of Obama to suggest that he is even remotely in the same class as these events and the people in them is beyond the pale.

One year ago, I took office amid two wars, an economy rocked by a severe recession, a financial system on the verge of collapse, and a government deeply in debt.  Experts from across the political spectrum warned that if we did not act, we might face a second depression.  So we acted -– immediately and aggressively.  And one year later, the worst of the storm has passed.

But the devastation remains.  One in 10 Americans still cannot find work.  Many businesses have shuttered.  Home values have declined.  Small towns and rural communities have been hit especially hard.  And for those who’d already known poverty, life has become that much harder.

Poor Obama. What? You didn’t know what you were getting into for the 2+ years as a candidate. Stop your whining girly boy and man up.

So wait, the storm has passed but the devastation remains? So you and the Democrat Congress haven’t been doing your job then. A full year and you still don’t know what to do? A full year and over 10% of the working population is unemployed.

Didn’t you tell us “Now is the time to jumpstart job creation” back on February 24, 2009? That’s called failure of the highest degree Mr. President.

So we face big and difficult challenges.  And what the American people hope -– what they deserve -– is for all of us, Democrats and Republicans, to work through our differences; to overcome the numbing weight of our politics.  For while the people who sent us here have different backgrounds, different stories, different beliefs, the anxieties they face are the same. The aspirations they hold are shared:  a job that pays the bills; a chance to get ahead; most of all, the ability to give their children a better life.

Let me educate you Mr. President. It’s very simple. Americans want Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness and Limited Government – All four of them.

What the American people DEMAND can be found within the very documents our great Founding Fathers wrote.

The Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

You feelin’ us yet Barry? We don’t hope and deserve from Government. We the People instruct and direct you and Congress.

If there’s any doubt left in that pea-brain head of yours Mr. President, let me erase it permanently.

The 10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Got that Mr. Prez? The powers not enumerated to the Federal Government are reserved to the States or the People.

Our most urgent task upon taking office was to shore up the same banks that helped cause this crisis.  It was not easy to do. And if there’s one thing that has unified Democrats and Republicans, and everybody in between, it’s that we all hated the bank bailout.  I hated it.  I hated it.  You hated it.  It was about as popular as a root canal.

But when I ran for President, I promised I wouldn’t just do what was popular -– I would do what was necessary.  And if we had allowed the meltdown of the financial system, unemployment might be double what it is today.  More businesses would certainly have closed.  More homes would have surely been lost.

So I supported the last administration’s efforts to create the financial rescue program.  And when we took that program over, we made it more transparent and more accountable.  And as a result, the markets are now stabilized, and we’ve recovered most of the money we spent on the banks. Most but not all.

To recover the rest, I’ve proposed a fee on the biggest banks. Now, I know Wall Street isn’t keen on this idea.  But if these firms can afford to hand out big bonuses again, they can afford a modest fee to pay back the taxpayers who rescued them in their time of need.

If you hated it the bank bail out but had to do it then why didn’t you put strict regulations on what the banks could and could not do? You didn’t. You supported it. Why? Because that was an in for you into getting control of the financial industry. You’re such a good little Statist.

You made the financial rescue program more transparent and more accountable? Are you delusional? One only had to watch the testimony of Geithner and Paulson yesterday to see just how opaque and unaccountable you and Congress are.

Again, you are completely disconnected from reality. Main Street is also not keen on your bank tax scheme. In fact, it’s unconstitutional.  Don’t take my word for it though. Just read the Constitution.

Article 1 Section 9 Clause 3: “No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.” Get it? Yet? Prez?

Now, as we stabilized the financial system, we also took steps to get our economy growing again, save as many jobs as possible, and help Americans who had become unemployed.

That’s why we extended or increased unemployment benefits for more than 18 million Americans; made health insurance 65 percent cheaper for families who get their coverage through COBRA; and passed 25 different tax cuts.

Now, let me repeat:  We cut taxes.  We cut taxes for 95 percent of working families.  We cut taxes for small businesses.  We cut taxes for first-time home buyers.  We cut taxes for parents trying to care for their children.  We cut taxes for 8 million Americans paying for college.

I thought I’d get some applause on that one.

As a result, millions of Americans had more to spend on gas and food and other necessities, all of which helped businesses keep more workers.  And we haven’t raised income taxes by a single dime on a single person.  Not a single dime.

Mr. President, show me directly the mathematical computations you used in determining the jobs you saved.  Show me, in spreadsheet form, the exact jobs, the companies that have these jobs, the exact dollar amount of each job, the individual titles of each job, and whether each job was a government or private sector job.

Barry, every one of your “tax cuts” is a redistribution of wealth.

Now, let me repeat: You’re tax cut for 95% of the working families is a federal check from taxpaying Americans to non-taxpaying Americans. Additionally, you forgot to tell 8 million people that on April 15th they will be paying that “tax cut” back to the Federal Government. You also forgot to tell Americans that it’s temporary.

Look at every one of the items Obama calls a “tax cut” and what you’ll find is Big Government redistributing taxpayer’s wealth.

As for not raising income taxes? Why haven’t you committed to lowering income taxes across the board permanently Mr. President? Why haven’t you committed to permanently reducing federal spending and eliminating useless departments of the Federal Government? Why haven’t you committed to lowering the highest corporate income tax in the world, ours Mr. President?

So let’s be clear Mr. President: You can spew your rhetoric all day long but your actions haven’t netted the results you’ve talked about. Results, Mr. President, results.
