Which Bill?

Yesterday, Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) held a press conference on his decision to support ObamaCare.  During that presser, at the 10:02 mark, the Senator was asked the following question:

“When talking about the Vox Populi, the voice of the people, but when you look at the polls they’ve been fairly universal over the last few weeks where public oppostion has run against this bill…”

Senator Nelson interrupts:

Which bill? The bill that is being talked about with the manager’s package or the bill that existed before. That’s one of the challenges that is there. This bill has been moving along every step of the way and changing.

It’s a favorite distraction technique used by the left to ignore and avoid the Vox Populi, the voice of the people. It’s also a distraction from the fact that you can use different words in different flavors of a bill and they mean the same thing.

For the left, ObamaCare has NOTHING to do with true health care reform. It’s all about the agenda of the Big Government takeover and control of your lives.

Let’s illustrate, shall we?

In July, I tweeted about the original ObamaCare bill, the following:

Pg 110 Lines 13-18 An excise tax on ALL goods from companies not offering Govt HC. ALL Americans pay.

In Reid’s ObamaCare bill:  “The 5 percent excise tax on cosmetic surgery was eliminated, and a 10 percent excise tax on indoor tanning services was added.” Donald Marron

Another example – In July I tweeted: Pg 238-249 Sec 1121 Doctors-Govt mandates ur growth, costs, value, svcs, & income. Peeps-Welcm 2 rationing.

In Reid’s ObamaCare bill – “A provision that would increase Medicare’s payment rates for physicians’ services by 0.5 percent for 2010 was eliminated. Instead, the 21 percent reduction in those payment rates that is scheduled to occur in 2010 under current law would take effect.” Donald Marron

Sally Pipes, president and CEO of Pacific Research, also demonstrates this in the New York Post.

So when you hear the left say “Which bill?” you now know that the actual translation is:

“We don’t care what the Vox Populi say. It’s all about our agenda.”

One last item: Please, please someone bring up the Fact Check or Politifact links again. I’m begging you.
