Obama’s Grand Junction of Misinformation
The President once again went out on the campaign trail to feed disinformation to the American people. “Wait! The President has already been elected!” you say. Try telling that to Obama. He’s using the same tactics of Deception, Distortion, and Distraction that today that he used in his campaign to fool 64 million Americans into voting for hope and change.
First let’s go back to then Candidate Obama on July 2nd 2008 in Colorado Springs, CO:
“…you are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans.” Obama
Hey Prez, as a self proclaimed constitutional scholar, you have failed miserably time and time again. Just an FYI – Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are UNALIENABLE RIGHTS. We don’t want them, we are already endowed by our creator WITH them. It’s also just not American citizens that have those unalienable rights, every human being on this planet is endowed by our creator with them. You seem to also forget that the people of this great country, through our Founding Fathers, created our system of Government as a LIMITED government. Perhaps you need a refresher on the 10th Amendent of our Constitution:
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Let me be perfectly clear Mr. President – You and Congress were NEVER delegated the powers to create health care systems, regulations, etc. That power is reserved to the States or to the People. Get it? Yet? Mr. Constitutional Scholar?
Now lets move to the President’s Grand Junction Town Bull Session, yesterday, August 15, 2009.
“At the same time — I just want to be completely clear about this; I keep on saying this but somehow folks aren’t listening — if you like your health care plan, you keep your health care plan. Nobody is going to force you to leave your health care plan. If you like your doctor, you keep seeing your doctor.” Obama
Mr. President, let me be perfectly clear. You have no idea what you are talking about. In the House HC Bill, you and Congress are creating 2 Government run Entities – The Government Run Health Insurance Exchange which corrals private health plans into your bureaucracy of regulations, mandates, and ambiguous legal jargon that defines, what plans they can offer, what treatments and services they can offer, how the doctors can operate within that Exchange, who can participate in the plan and penalties if they don’t, and how Americans will accept and receive those health care and services.
Don’t take my word for it – Go to Section 102 on Page 16 which is deceptively labeled as “Protecting the Right to Keep Current Coverage” You’ll quickly find out the limitation after limitation after limitation the Government imposes upon Americans’ current health care plan.
You can also go to the Health Care Bill and read all about the Government Run Health Insurance Exchange starting on page 72 TITLE II—Health Insurance Exchange and Related Provisions – Subtitle A Health Insurance Exchange. The Government run Health Care Public Option is also included.
Speaking of the Public Option:
“I think that we can craft a system in which you’ve got a public option that has to operate independently, not subsidized by taxpayers — that they would have to go on the market and get a market price for capital, so they wouldn’t be able to just have the Federal Reserve write them a check.”
Mr. President, it’s very apparent that you haven’t read the Health Care bill at all. Your Public Option is a Government run plan. Futhermore it is fully subsidized by taxpayers. Perhaps your “smart” people in your administration forgot to inform you of this section in the bill:
SEC. 207. HEALTH INSURANCE EXCHANGE TRUST FUND.
(a) ESTABLISHMENT OF HEALTH INSURANCE EXCHANGE TRUST FUND.—There is created within the Treasury of the United States a trust fund to be known as the ‘‘Health Insurance Exchange Trust Fund’’ (in this section referred to as the ‘‘Trust Fund’’), consisting of such amounts as may be appropriated or credited to the Trust Fund under this section or any other provision of law.
(b) PAYMENTS FROM TRUST FUND.—The Commissioner shall pay from time to time from the Trust Fund such amounts as the Commissioner determines are necessary to make payments to operate the Health Insurance Exchange”
It then goes on to list the sources of Dedicated Payments – “Taxes on individuals not obtaining acceptable coverage”, “Employment taxes on employers not providing acceptable coverage”, and “Excise tax on failures to meet certain health coverage requirements”. Hmm Prez, seems like taxpayers do subsidize your public option plan.
But wait, it get’s even better. Mr President, you and Congress, by way of the Health Care bill will approriate additional moneys from the Treasury as you see fit -
“APPROPRIATIONS TO COVER GOVERNMENT CONTRIBUTIONS.—There are hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the Trust Fund, an amount equivalent to the amount of payments made from the Trust Fund under subsection (b) plus such amounts as are necessary reduced by the amounts deposited under paragraph (1)”
Why isn’t that special Mr. President. You’re right the Federal Reserve wouldn’t write checks, the Treasury would. Shhh that’s OUR taxpayer dollars.
Why do I call the the Public Option and the Health Insurance Exchange “Government Run Entitites” (GREs)? Because their just like their sisters – Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac or GSEs (Government Sponsored Entities). They’re filled with mechanisms for corruption, fraud, and destruction. It’s Jimmy Carter 2.0 only much worse. Have doubts about that? Please educate thyself – “The True Origins of this Fiscal Crisis”
I don’t want government bureaucrats meddling in your health care. But the point is, I don’t want insurance company bureaucrats meddling in your health care either. Obama
Can President Obama be any more transparent in displaying his deception, distraction, and distortion than this one quote out of his entire diatribe yesterday?
Mr. President, you absolutely want to meddle in individuals health care. The bill is evidence not only of that, it is further proof of your rabid desire to strip liberties and freedoms from all Americans. It’s also an example of your fervent hope to grow Government bigger and bigger every day. You’re words not only “feel dishonest” as you said yesterday, they are dishonest.

First, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE, is saying we do nothing Mr. President. The only person talking about doing nothing is you Mr. President. Please stop with the deception and dishonesty, stop with you imagination of people saying that.
You seem to want to associate Americans losing their health insurance every day is a result of those big bad evil insurance companies. Could it be that 14,000 Americans lose their health insurance every day as a result of unemployment? Why yes it can! In fact, it was based on The Center of American Progress’ study – authored by James Kvaal and Ben Furnas. It shows on page 12 of the report that as unemployment rises people lose their health insurance. As we can see, Mr President you are doing great work on creating jobs – NOT! By the way The Center of American Progress is run by John Podesta and … surprise, James Kvall who co-authored the study joined the President’s White House National Economic Counsel.
I spent most of my time talking about what we would do for folks who have health insurance, but we’ve still got 46 million uninsured and I think it is the right thing to provide them with some help.
The Census Bureau report “Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2005,” the Census data include 9.487 million people who are “not a citizen.”
So folks, you have the President of the United States telling you directly that he wants to provide health insurance to people who ARE NOT CITIZENS of these great United States of America and do it on the backs of people who ARE citizens. That’s right folks directly from Barack Obama himself.
According to the same Census Report, there’s 8.3 million uninsured who make $50,000 to $74,999 per year and 8.74 million who make $75,000 or more per year. The math – Another 17 million who can afford health insurance.
Additionally the Census under-reported the number of people covered by private health insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. The Kaiser Family Foundation, a liberal non-profit think tank, puts the number of uninsured Americans who do NOT qualify for government programs and make less than $50,000 a year at between 13.9 million and 8.2 million.

“There’s actually a doctor who’s put together a protocol — washing your hands, a lot of just basic stuff that costs no money that has been shown repeatedly to cut these preventable illnesses and deaths down drastically — by a magnitude of 50 percent, 75 percent reductions in preventable deaths just by applying these things that don’t cost any money.” Obama
Oh Oh we’re back to the “make sure your tires are properly inflated” I see Mr. President. Hmmm, that’s called common sense sir. By the way, see how that doctor thought up of that protocol without the Government’s help?
But Obama gets even scarier by mandating that people have to tell on each other that they didn’t wash their hands:
“So the question then becomes, how do we get more hospitals, more doctors, more health systems, to adopt these systems. And the best way to do it is to make sure that not only are they reporting these preventable errors, but that they’re also available to consumers”
The President’s dirty little secret that he fails to tell you is that the systems he wants Doctors and Patients to adopt are his government systems. I can see the President’s new slogan now – ACORN wants YOU to wash your hands! (Or we’ll report you!)
Americans, how much more of this deception, distortion, and distraction of Barack Obama are you going to take? Just what are we supposed to believe next? I mean, the next thing Obama and his cronies are going to do is say “Hey don’t worry about the Public Option. We can have non-profit Co-Ops!”.
Oh wait, HHS Secretary Sibelius just floated that out this morning. Damn they beat me to it. Shhh, Americans – a non-profit Co-Op is code for Govt Run Public Option as far as Obama and his cronies are concerned.
It’s time America to tell this President and Congress to scrap this entire Health Care Monstrosity Bill and start from scratch.
Mr. President and Cronies – You work on Medicare reform and Tort reform first. This is what Americans want. This is what we, your employers, are telling you to do. Now get skippy, scrap the entire bill, and do what we say.
