Hey Prez – You’re Living in an Alternate Reality
President Obama has made another attempt at Deception, Distortion, and Distraction, or the Three Ds, by unveiling his RealityChecks site within a site on whitehouse.gov. I couldn’t help but realize as I went through this site of the Three Ds just how out of touch the President and Company really are.
Here we have a site that further insults the intelligence of the American people by telling them that we don’t know what we are talking about. If you have read the bill like I have, then you’ll quickly realize it’s not about Health Care Reform. So the new tactic the Administration and their cronies use is to talk about Health Insurance Reform. Well, it’s not about that either. This Administration is doing one thing and one thing only – taking Americans’ freedoms and liberties away from them once and for all.
Let’s go straight to the President’s FAQ on his Three Ds RealityCheck site and you’ll see that’s exactly what they are doing:
“Health Insurance Reform will end current forms of rationing, not expand it.” – Let’s pay particular attention to “end current forms of rationing”. The government will end current forms of rationing…. and replace it with their own rationing. They will accomplish this through mandating the types of health care plans delivered in the Government Health Insurance Exchange and the Government Public Option Plan. You can see for yourself right in the House HC Bill starting on page 84 Section 203.
Obama also talks about insurance companies denying coverage. You can find how Obama plans to deny coverage by reading many places in the bill about how the Government will deny coverage. One place in the Health Care bill starts on page 801 Section 1751. Starting to get the picture of how Obama and Company use the Three Ds of Deception, Distortion and Distraction?
“Burdening Government” This is quite amusing. The President and Company seem to believe that the Government is burdened. Prez – don’t tell anyone but it is the government that always burdens the people. The President goes on to cite a report from the Council of Economic Advisors that shows what happens if we don’t do anything. First, Mr. President, no one has suggested we do nothing. This is just a distraction and a straw man of yours that is frankly, worn out and overused. Do you also expect us to believe something from the Council of Economic Advisors? The very ones who misread our economy? Really?
Let’s go to Mr. Elmendorf, Director of CBO, for some actual reality:
“Cost” – The President again uses his straw man of “if we do nothing”. As you can see from the Director of CBO the Government will expand spending and will not reduce spending to a corresponding degree. Additionally the Government tries the old misdirection of only using a 10 year projection.
Let’s take a look beyond 10 years shall we? If this HC Monstrosity Bill is passed then we can be assured it will be around a lot longer than 10 years. It turns out that the Joint Economic Committee found that the President’s Health Care Obamanation will be insufficient in funds to the tune of $9.2 Trillion. You can read all about that here – House Health Care Bill yields $9.2 trillion in New Debt.
As for the Government being accurate in any of their projections you merely look at how many times they’ve failed miserably and came way under what it actually did cost. Don’t take my word though, see for yourself – Health Care Reform Cost Estimates: What is the Track Record?
When CBO director Doug Elmendorf has said the House health plan will increase the budget deficit by $239 billion over ten years, and “generate substantial increases in federal budget deficits during the decade beyond the current 10-year budget window.” , it’s no wonder that 72% of Americans believe that Obama’s Health Care plan will add to the deficit of this country exponentially.
“Uninsured vs. Costs” - Let’s look at the deceptive words that the President wants you to believe:
“American families with insurance pay a hidden tax of roughly $1000 for the cost of caring for people without insurance. As more Americans become insured, that hidden tax will begin to disappear. In addition, covering everyone will put downward pressure on costs. Bringing younger, healthier people into the system will spread the risk.
So Prez, the American people are not going to be paying a hidden tax anymore, you just bring the hidden tax out into the open. Additionally as your government HC plan insures more Americans, the open tax is now going to become much larger. Again, we can see how much downward pressure will be brought on costs from the above section on costs. You’re also telling the younger generation, who is typically healthier, that by making them pay for health insurance they might not want, it will spread the risk which is code for cost. So younger Americans, thanks for paying the high oppressive debt of the Obama Administration for the rest of us.
Mr. President – a little education on the uninsured:

“Medicare for Seniors” – Mr. President, the Medicare Trust Fund is currently $38 TRILLION in the hole. The only thing your health care bill does for Medicare is kick the can down the road so that someone else can deal with it. Your only goal for Medicare is to use it for political purposes – Medicare Payment Rules: Looking Behind the Curtain.
Additionally, when Government starts to cut the Medicare Advantage Program that a lot of Seniors enjoy, they will have to go and seek additional supplemental insurance thus increasing their out of pocket expenses. Perhaps that’s why AARP is behind the President’s Health Care Monstrosity. They stand to gain on the backs of Senior Citizens. Nice huh?
“End of Life Counseling” – Mr. President, I guess you think Americans are too stupid to do this on their own. Why, after all these years that Americans have been able to do these very things without your assistance, you decide that you just know better. Shhh- Mr. President, the Government can NEVER do better that which an individual can do for himself. You’re not empowering anyone. Your guiding them to how you see fit according to your selfish needs.
The President again deceives by saying it is not mandatory. It seems, Mr. President that you have not read the bill. You merely have to read pages 425-429 of the House Health Care bill to see that the Government mandates the counseling every 5 years or even more frequently should the patient have a significant change in their health condition. The Government dictates what is an order in end of life counseling, what treatments are made available, how the treatments are limited, who gets to decide what those treatments are (it’s not just the patient and doctor), and the Government standardizes all orders, treatments and guidance how they want it and when they want it.
Mr. President, perhaps we should just ask Dr. Zeke Emmanuel, your Health Care Policy Advisor, what he thinks of Seniors – Complete Lives System. OOPs!! As we can see from the good doctor, he really thinks that Seniors are a waste of time. He thinks that Seniors count less than other citizens. Nice person to have around Mr. President. Isn’t it great that AARP endorses End of Life Counseling too!
“The Health Insurance Exchange” – The President and his buddies would like you to believe that they are creating an Exchange that has never been there and to “Come on in! It’s so warm and fuzzy here!” Well, it’s simple folks, the Health Insurance Exchange is a Government run exchange that corrals all the private insurance plans into the ranch of Government control. It’s a take over of market based solutions by Obama. You can read all about it starting on page 72 of the House Health Care Bill.
“The Public Option” – Folks, plain and simple, the public option is President Obama’s and his cronies’ way of getting to the Single Payer Government Takeover of your health and lives. Don’t take my word though – The President and his cronies will tell you straight up -
So, Mr. President, you and your cronies have repeatedly tried the Three Ds, Deception, Distortion, and Distraction. They are not working. They haven’t been working. They will fail repeatedly if you continue to use them.
Your Reality Check site is a teachable moment:
Mr. President, you and your buddies, live in an alternate reality far far away from the actual reality that Americans are living daily.

Ok I'm NEW at reading the whole bill and I may be asking a question you already answered and if I did PLEASE forgive me. I'm on pg 22 line 23 what does “Such report shall include any recommendations the Commissioner deems appropriate to ensure that the law does not provide incentives for small and mid-size employers to self-insure or create adverse selection in the risk pools of large group insurers and self-insured employers.”
Does this mean they don't want small and mid size employers to self insure so they are taking away incentives thus pushing them to gov't healthcare in the long run?
Yes it means exactly that.

I have heard that congress is exempting themselves from HR3200. Does that show up in the bill, or how do they accomplish that?
They exempted themselves through an amendment. Additionally the Amendment
said that Americans could not participate in Congress' Health care plan.

I read the end of life counseling section and you are feeding us a line of bullshit. The government is mandating payment for end of life counseling every five years or sooner if condition warrants. Also, a careful read suggests that they are trying to standardize the process. In fact, on page 426, line 9, it mentions providing the individual with information in these sessions to make end of life decisions. You and your conservative friends are liars.
Shhh, it is mandatory. Shhh, the government wants to control it. Since when
does the Government need to standardize my decisions for what I do at the
end of my life.
You go run along now and keep on chanting – Govt is my Nanny, Govt is good,
Govt is smarter than me, Govt knows better than I do.
Have fun with that.
Your response is beneath contempt. It is not mandatory that someone go to a session. It is only mandatory that the government pay for it if they choose to. It does not standardize my decisions for what I do at end of life. The law is telling the bureaucrats what they can and cannot do. The individual is in full control here and you know it. Some health care company or astroturf organization probably hired you, a management consultant, to shoot this shit out over the blogs. Even with insurance companies, they only cover certain things like eye doctor visits once a year. This is what the government is doing with end of life saying it will pay for the discussion once every five years or sooner if a person is real sick. It isn't telling anyone to die or live.
Also, I believe in limited government. I don't believe in the government getting in people lives but where were you when George Bush was tapping our phones through the NSA or doing nothing about healthcare in the eight years he had to do something. You conservatives are laughable.
You keep chanting: Government is the enemy. Private corporations and fortune 500 ceos which pay me are good. Who gives a fuck about the insured–they all deserve to die. After all, I am a hack for big business pushing out lies over the internet.
Again you are lying. This is a study. Second, it is trying make sure that the self insured employers don't send their sickest people to the public plan thus making it very expensive while the company runs off with the profits. This is to protect taxpayers.

1. You obviously haven't read the bill no matter how many times you say you
did.
2. I'm not paid by anyone. Never have never will.
3. You don't know what you are talking about.
4. You suck as a psychic.
5. You don't know what you are talking about.
6. It's clear from your posts you have no clue what limited government is.
7. You don't know what you are talking about.

I don't know what you guys suggest we do about the working poor who can't afford cancer treatment. What do you suggest we do? Is it every man for himself? If you have cancer, you cannot get insurance, period. Some cancer treatment costs a million dollars. Under ObamaCare, you're covered. Under the angry mob plan, you're fucked. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan of ObamaCare, but at least he's talking about covering the uninsured. What's your solution for covering the uninsured?
Kevin,
Your entire statement is based on the false assumption and strawman that
Obama uses on an almost daily basis. No one from the right has ever said to
do nothing. No one. So stop with the BS.
Have you read the bill page by page? I don't think so because if you did at
the very best you could say cancer treatment under the ObamaCare plan is a
maybe. You should do some research on the newly set up Comparative
Effectiveness Research Commission set up for ObamaCare. It has created a
formula to determine if you get the cancer treatment(or other treatments)
based on your age, race, life expectancy and number of “life-years” left in
you.
You can also look at Dr. Emmanuel's Complete Life
System<http://blog.jonolan.net/politics/complete-lives-system/>and
understand that certain people just would not receive cancer
treatment.
They just aren't worth it. Dr. Emmanuel happens to be Obama's Health Care
Policy Advisor.
Finally, show me the “angry mob plan”.
I've always said we need health care reform. We just don't need anything
like ObamaCare. We never have and we never will.
Peter, you didn't spell out a plan to Kevin because you have none. I actually read the journal article by Dr Emanuel who is Jewish and a bioethicist to boot and the complete lives system is for pandemics and other public emergencies you know like a Katrina and is intended to save the most lives. Comparative effectiveness is about studying different techniques and providing guidelines, not mandates to doctors. You are a conspiracy theorist and little better than a birther.
So say you. I find it disturbing that you don't address Dr. Emmanuel's
recommendations that *”…services provided to individuals who are
irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not
basic and should not be guaranteed.”* Which has nothing to do with pandemics
or public emergencies.
Equally disturbing is your inattention to his examples of who should and
should not be guaranteed – “*An obvious example is not guaranteeing health
services to patients with dementia.*”
It's clear that you in fact have never read the Lancet article of 2009 which
makes no reference to being for pandemics and Katrina.
Shhh, maybe that's why he calls it a COMPLETE life system. But we only have
to go to Dr. Emmanuel's exact quotes to understand:
*”Consideration of the importance of complete lives also supports modifying
the youngest-first principle by prioritizing adolescents and young adults
over infants. Adolescents have received substantial education and parental
care, investments that will be wasted without a complete life. Infants, by
contrast, have not yet received these investments. Similarly, adolescence
brings with it a developed personality capable of forming and valuing
long-term plans whose fulfillment requires a complete life.”*
Fantastic huh? Certain people matter less according to the good Dr.
Emmanuel.
*”When implemented, the complete lives system produces a priority curve on
which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most
substantial chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that
are attenuated.”*
Isn't that just grand?!!! The good Dr. sees fit to say that children ages 14
and below and Adults ages 41 and above just shouldn't get the same attention
and treatment as the 15 to 40 group.
Aren't you proud of the good Dr.'s Jewishness and his “ethics”. LMAO!!!
As for plans – Please go take a look at the massive success of Safeway's
Health Care plan. We're they've reduced costs for both employer and employee
and increased the well being of individuals. Just google – Safeway WSJ to
read all about it.
Take a look at the plan that the Republicans have proposed, or how about the
plans and suggestions of other conservatives who believe in life, liberty,
the pursuit of happiness AND limited government.
Oh wait, you don't want to talk about that. In fact Obama recently spoke for
you when he told people he doesn't want them to talk, just get out of the
way.
You sir are a Deceiver, a Distractor, and a Distorter (the Three Ds).
You're ignorant as it's obvious you don't have a clue what you are talking
about.
You sir are a fascist and little better than the patient with dementia that
the good Dr. Emmanuel suggests should be denied treatment.
Perhaps the good Dr. is right – maybe people like you should be denied
services, after all idiots like you are becoming a Pandemic.

What a reasoned response from a troglodyte. By the way, I have read John Locke and other proponents of limited government. Well, you know what-I don't believe you have read the bill. I know I have. In fact, I have legal experience and know how to read these bills. You pull your facts right up out of your ass. Let me tell you white cracker, the minorities will someday be running this country and you and the republican party are going down the shitter. It will happen. Neither you nor Glenn Beck or that jackass Lou Dobbs can do anything about it. I also think you are being paid. How do you make your money? I don't see you selling anything and you don't disclose a thing on this site. Your days of white supremacy are over, buddy. Sit on it and rotate.

Your discussion on pages 425 to 429 is absolutely wrong. Iam not for this bill either, but I can't condone the misinformation you are passing along regarding it. Start at the beginning of Section 1233, every word, look at the sections of the Social Security Act that are being referred to as you read Section 1233, and read it all again. If, after doing all that, you stand by your above comments on end of life counseling, then I can only conclude you are out to intentially mislead everyone on what this bill says.
You can conclude what ever your heart desires. The facts are is the
government is getting involved directly in end of life counseling. They're
doing so by establishing standards, treatments, what the doctors can and
cannot instruct on, and the training of doctors and others on end of life
counseling. Read pages 425 -430 again.
Additionally you can read Dr. Emmanuel who's Obama's WH Policy HC Advisor.
He seems to think that persons between the ages of 15-40 count more than
others. See for yourself and don't forget to click on the links to his own
articles and words – http://blog.jonolan.net/politics/complete-lives...

Julie, It is clear that you are either spreading misinformation yourself, or you have not read HR3200, in particular, the Section 1233 you mention. If you had really read Section 1233, you would know that this portion of the Bill is not only about “end of life counseling” — it involves prescribed medical treatments. SMARTEN UP.
I've included a portion of Section 1233 from the Library of Congress. Refer to http://thomas.loc.gov for more.
Section 1233.
Advance Care Planning Consultation, 5B:
(B) The level of treatment .. may range from an indication for full treatment to an indication to limit some or all or specified interventions. Such indicated levels of treatment may include indications respecting, among other items–
`(i) the intensity of medical intervention if the patient is pulse less, apneic, or has serious cardiac or pulmonary problems;
`(ii) the individual's desire regarding transfer to a hospital or remaining at the current care setting;
`(iii) the use of antibiotics; and
`(iv) the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration.'.
Section 1233, #5 references TREATMENT, not consultation. This part under-defines an “order regarding life sustaining treatment” and the Bill states that this order is “an actionable medical order relating to the treatment of that individual”.
So this part is about TREATMENT, not consultation.
The contractual agreement between the practitioner (doctor) and the Government dictates the prescribed treatment which can be either full treatment prescribed OR a limitation of treatment.
Within the limitation of treatment, some or ALL treatments can be withheld. Some of the “conditions” are listed above — not many “conditions”, but a few. Under this terminology, a “heart attack” IS a “serious cardiac problem”. Now how many people do you know have survived a “heart attack”? Under HR3200, the patient could have limited treatment. Or no treatment.
Are you willing to bet your life on this type of prescribed medical care? It's really not well-defined, is it Julie? Did physicians draft this Bill? Of course not…but they will completely interfere in the doctor-patient relationship. Some healthcare proposal…..
After reading this portion of Advanced Care statements in HR3200, the only way you can continue believing as you do is if you are blindly following the campaign rhetoric of Obama.
And, by the way, the “Obamacare” he has been preaching about is NOT a “Bill”. He is trying to sell America on his stupid ideology — he doesn't even specify a Bill or what any Bill offers, he's just on that campaign-trail because it's all he knows how to do. And he has failed. He doesn't have that many believers….only paid-props who earn fast cash and get little digital cameras.
Checked the polls lately, Julie?

George said, “The law is telling the bureaucrats what they can and cannot do. The individual is in full control here and you know it. “
First, HR3200 is a proposed Bill, it has not been legislated yet. Therefore, it's not a “law” as you wrote.
This Bill does NOT NOT NOT give individuals control. Read the comment I left for Julie. It might shock you to learn the truth.
I've heard there's a new Amendment proposed: Withdraw of treatment for liberal cretins. You might want to check that Section out….

Kevin, Get real. If someone had good health insurance in the first place, he would have had adequate coverage for cancer treatments. Sucks to not have insurance when a bad diagnosis comes, but that's the reality.
Life is about decisions/choices and consequences. If you opt to not carry insurance on your health coverage, do not cry when you become seriously ill. It's that simple. If you did not prepare well in life to have a good-paying job and if you did not save and create a 'back up plan', those decisions might catch you later in life.
The Federal Government is not a 100% bail-out program for poor-planners in America. Conservatives see this is the route Obama wants to take, though….100% coverage for everyone for everything….spread the 'wealth'. What a crock of shit. This is a Republic. We are a capitalist society. Make something of yourself instead of letting the Feds take-care-of-you.
The Federal Government is not a 100% bail-out program for lazy, do nothing folks, or for people who don't take life seriously enough to plan for the blows that occur in life. Sometimes life is not fair. UNDERSTAND THAT. It's not about the haves and the have-nots, it's about the mindset that the Federal Government created with FDR and it has become the ruination of America. Expecting a free ride is NOT the solution. The reality is, if you don't want to be poor, get off your ass and use our capitalist society to your advantage. If you don't want to be poor, get off your ass and do something about it besides whining.
If you have a bad situation, take ownership of the problem and be pro-active, and learn to cope instead of sucking the Federal-tit.
