The Thugsta-dminstration Continues
While everyones’ attention was focused on the WH Press Corps Dinner this past Saturday, the Prez needed to address some “bidness”. So he rounded up his thugstas in his administration for a little drive by on the State of California.
Governor Schwarzenegger is dealing with a State on the edge of collapse. They had to really look at their budget and make some painful cuts in order to try and get California back on track. One such area was wage cuts to unionized home health care workers approved in February as part of the state budget and it would save California an additional $78 million. The union involved is the Service Employees International Union(SEIU). Their members contribute millions of dollars each month in dues.
The Prez got wind of this and decided there would be none of this cutting. He would have none of this being responsible and doing the right thing in California. Why? Well we only have to look at what the president of the SEIU, Andy Stern said:
We spent a fortune to elect Barack Obama — $60.7 million to be exact — and we’re proud of it.
So the Thugsta-in-Chief loaded up his crew in the hoopty, drove by Cali, and told the Governor that the Thugsta-dminstration will rescind $6.8 Billion in “stimulus” money if Cali goes through with the $78 million in cuts. Why the huge disparity between the $78 million in cuts vs. the $6.8 Billion rescinding? Two reasons – The Prez has to pay back the SEIU (see above). The 2nd reason – the Prez is sending a clear message to the States – I don’t give a damn about the Constitution – you guys are going to play by my rules.
Wait a second Pete, the Constitution? You’re stretching a bit don’t you think? Well let’s take a look at the Constitution:
The 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
You see the President has no Constitutional authority to dictate to the State of California what it can and cannot do with its budget and many other issues as well. But the Thugsta-in-Chief just doesn’t care about the rule of law. We’ve seen that in the Chrysler bankruptcy oh so clearly.
I’m wondering just how long Americans are going to take being trampled upon.
I’m wondering America – if it’s not okay for a thug and his homeys to set up shop in your own neighborhood and rule it the way they see fit, why is it okay for a Thugsta and his Administration to set up shop in the Whitehouse and do the same thing?
